I left Instagram. Their new bylaws are pretty shady. I am now on Twitch, where I can live stream all kinds of content and stay connected to you without my private messages and contacts being invaded, without being bombarded by ads, and without them claiming license ownership over my intellectual property (i.e. anything I stream or post). Twitch is a community powered constellation of real people supporting real people… creative people. Let’s see how it goes. So far I like it!
I will be posting somewhat regularly here on the particlekid website. This blog is my new “Instagram” and Twitch will be where the content happens since that is where the people seem to be congregating and sharing creative stuff. Check in here to see when my next live-painting will happen on Twitch, I’ll try my best to let you know ahead of time! The best way to stay in touch is by frequenting particlekid.com and the Twitch channel. I’ve been really enjoying the past few days doing stream-of-consciousness live-paintings for you all, sharing the experience of watching mysterious stories unfold through the paint. It’s very relaxing and positive. It’s been pretty hard to be depressed for those couple hours of painting and listening to beautiful calming Japanese Onkyo Kakagu binaural field recording + synth music! It’s also great to get your questions and comments, to feel connected with the growing number fans and exist in that liminal space together.
I will probably also be occasionally live-streaming some off-the-cuff music performances and maybe some other stuff too. This is a big experiment and I’m making it up as I go, as usual. Thank you for sticking with me on this journey!
